Apple, Flash y Opera Mini para iPhone
The recent change in the terms of use of the App Store, became the new module for Adobe CS5 export to iPhone useless. This is a deliberate attack on Adobe Flash and Apple's. Adobe has taken legal action accusing Apple of violating the laws of fair competition in the U.S.. However, for Steve Jobs this is nothing more than natural. Strengthen its policy not to allow shoddy applications on their mobile devices.
Of course the fanboys and the haters are at war. Just look at any forum or news.cnet.com technology to realize. To keep up with let's make it clear that Apple supports bakanakoto in the crusade against Flash. Flash has been a necessary evil until now, but may be finally banished by HTML 5. It is good that a company like Apple has taken the torch and leading the charge against Flash, because otherwise it might not be sufficient for the existence of the HTML 5 to beat.
Flash is slow, heavy, ugly, a huge hassle for the developers (those who have no skill in flash, that if they want to kill), and also a huge hassle for users. Flash is the number one cause of crashes in all browsers (if Jobs says must be true). From the days when Linux did not have flash support, this software has been bothering us all. So it is time to finally replace Flash and HTML 5 will all be happy ... or so says Jobs.
In any case, Apple decides what to do with their devices is a topic of Apple and no one else, if not like they can choose not to use an iPhone / iPod / iPad. End of discussion. Regarding
Opera Mini, it was recently approved in the App Store, and several opinion pieces that attempted to highlight policy Apple is not always negative face competition from third parties. The truth is that Opera Mini is terrible, it is fast as promised, it is not good aesthetically, and in some devices even work. Apple acknowledged that there is no danger for Mobile Safari, and after so much hype in the press decided to let it sink alone. This was a great move by Apple.
expect Apple to gain more market iPad and can promote further the message that Flash does not go. If we are lucky in less than a decade we will see the last vestiges of the dying and leaving behind software to never see them again.
